Colombia. One of the fundamental steps towards digital transformation has been taken in Finland, a country where the learning of handwriting has been included as an optional primary education curriculum. With this measure the nation opens the doors to the digital changes that society is facing, recognizing that the new generations, theoretically, will not have to write due to the increasingly widespread use of computers and mobile devices that are already replacing paper.
In a world where digital is becoming increasingly important, the media industry is also immersed in changes, not only within its information management processes but also in front of its audiences. There are three major challenges that every company in the media and entertainment industry faces: understanding its content; understand your consumers and understand the world.
And how can media companies solve new digital challenges? "With artificial intelligence," said José González, CEO of Transmedia Lab, an IBM partner, who is one of the speakers at Tecno Televisión&Radio 2017, an exhibition and congress focused on radio, television and video production that will be held between November 14 and 17 at the Agora Convention Center, in the city of Bogotá.
"Becoming a company "directed towards data" means making a cultural change in the organization and very important challenges in different areas (quality, safety, regulations, etc.), but at the same time it is a key factor for competitiveness. With a cognitive system like Watson, the result of the evolution of analytical systems and thanks to its capacities of understanding, reasoning and learning, you can support the achievement of the business objectives that have been sought for a long time, "says González.
Transmedia Lab has set out to serve as allies in the challenge that people and organizations have today to manage data and integrate the new processes generated by digital transformation into the business.
"We have expertise to support media companies to integrate new data storage and transmission technologies into the heart of their business and take advantage of the potential offered by these tools to manage the knowledge offered by this information in the relationship with their customers. We have developed three lines of service -digital education, video & experience and smart social collaboration-, which we invite you to review with us at our conference on November 14 at Tecno Televisión y Radio 2017, "said González.
