Argentina. Within the framework of the training day project carried out by the National Directorate of Audiovisual Services of Enacom, a new meeting was held with the support of the Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents.
The meeting on "Adolescents and the Media" brought together students from secondary schools in the City of Buenos Aires, with the aim of training them and working on the content they receive daily through the different media.
The presentations by professionals from Enacom, SEDRONAR and UNICEF, addressed the influence of the media, consumption and adolescents, the safe and responsible use of the Internet, linking current issues such as sexting and grooming. Thanks to the previous work carried out by the children in the classrooms, the participation was active and reflective, enriching the event through joint opinions.
Raising awareness through information is an important tool and these days allow us to fulfill that function and know the position and concerns of today's young people.
