Mexico. With the participation of executives from Blackmagic Design and its main Mexican distributor, Simplemente, Blackmagic Day was held in Mexico City, where the main solutions of the australian company were shown. Workflow integrations based on the URSA 4K and URSA Mini cameras were exhibited, incorporating other developments such as DaVinci Resolve into these processes.
The event, held in Mexico City, was attended by Tor Johansen – six-time technology Emmy winner and brand ambassador in the camera segment – as well as Austrian director of photography and colorist Lisa Tillinger.
In the meeting, complete workflows were shown: one using the URSA Mini PRO camera with different configurations, -for broadcast, studio and cinema-. Different optics were used, Carl Zeiss and Canon. Also, color correction stations were presented for video, audio and color editing, plus content delivery. These demos were done with an Apple computer, with Nvidia cards running in 4K. There was also a color station, with Linux configuration with three Titan cards, which can perform real-time color correction on content up to 6.5K tested.
At the event, switching, monitoring and streaming stations were tested, with direct transmission to social networks and CDNs with blackmagic Design's Web Presenter. All this was reinforced with lighting equipment from Rotolight, which has interaction with the sensors of Blackmagic Design, the 4.6K of URSA Mini.
