Colombia. Taking into account the importance of creating training spaces for audiovisual production, but not from a professorial emphasis but from a focus on doing, Congo Films created its school of practical teaching.
TVyVideo+Radio spoke with Carlos Congote, director of Congo Films, who stressed that the company's facilities house a large studio where training courses are given in the areas that audiovisual production needs, framed in the Congo Films School.
"Congo Films School is a school based on the practical teaching of the craft of cinema and its artistic and conceptual expression. Parallel to learning their own craft, students acquire practical knowledge in the other areas, expanding their understanding of the set of relationships involved in a production," added Carlos Congote.
This articulation, the practice in filming and in post-production, and the immersion in depth in the knowledge that each position implies depending on the creation of an audiovisual piece with constant practice, allows students to develop their creativity and sense of belonging around the cinematographic work in which they are involved, the passion for cinema is nourished.
An important part of the great changes made by the company in recent times is the opening of a large Congo Store, with a wide and complete assortment of equipment and accessories that are required for a good shooting, all in one place.
Congo Films is a house of rental and sale of film and television equipment with offices in Colombia, Chile, Panama and Peru, with this presence they give coverage for all of South America. Technology has given a rebirth to cinematographic art and Congo Films seems to understand it, it puts at the disposal of the industry not only a trained talent in which to do but an artist passionate about his art, that is what I perceived when visiting them and talking to their Director.
