International. BroadcastAsia in its 2017 version expects significant growth thanks to its new headquarters in Suntec, Singapore. 20,000 square meters on three floors will host one of the most important industry fairs in Asia, between May 23 and 25.
One of the novelties that the fair will present this year is the cluster for virtual reality, which complements the immersive showcase of the event with game-changing products for the next generation of broadcasting and the latest solutions needed to stay ahead of the curve.
"New technologies are expanding the broadcasting ecosystem and generating exciting new possibilities for creating and consuming content, especially in Asia. Therefore, we are delighted to launch the new VIRTUAL reality cluster to enable attendees to gain first-hand experience with this technology," said Calvin Koh, Deputy Director of BroadcastAsia2017.
Other highlighted areas for this year are: Cinematography/Film/Production and professional audio. It will also again showcase technologies for the audio ecosystem and a wide range of production and post-production equipment and services.
Key trending topics will include OTT 2.0 and monetization, optimizing content and branding strategies, maximizing the experience across all screens, IP in broadcasting, UHD vs 1080p, HDR delivery for the future, broadcast standards, HBBTV 2.0.1 and hybrid delivery, workflow and automation.
The CommunicAsia2017 and EnterpriseIT2017 exhibition and summit, will be held at the same time as BroadcastAsia2017 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
