Latin America. Three more days, until February 3, the negotiations between DirecTV and Fox were extended so that the group of channels of the latter does not leave the grid of channels offered by the former in Latin America.
For several months, both companies have been negotiating the renewal of the distribution of Fox channels in Latin America through DirecTV, but have not reached an economic agreement.
The contract ended on January 31 and having no renewal, the Fox channels would leave the DirecTV grid. But as negotiations continue, they have decided to give three more days to reach an agreement and not leave a large number of viewers in Latin America, estimated at 20 million, without the signal of 17 channels.
Among the channels that would go off the air on DirecTV's signal in Latin America are: Fox, FX, Fox Life, Film Zone, Cinecanal, Fox Sports, Fox Sports 2, Fox Sports 3, Fox News, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, BabyTV, Fox1, Fox Comedy, Fox Action, Fox Family, Fox Cinéma, Fox Classics and Fox Movies.
