Peru. The Deputy Minister of Communications, Carlos Valdez inaugurated in Tarapoto the Decentralized Public Hearing of Broadcasting Services, which aimed to explain the recent modifications to the Regulations of the Radio and Television Law; as well as the procedures, requirements, deadlines, penalties and payments applicable to such services.
In that sense, the deputy minister said that the modifications seek to guarantee the continuity of the provision of the service at the national level, which will strengthen and expand this activity in the country.
For his part, the General Director of Authorizations in Telecommunications, Luis Fernando Castellanos, commented that the changes to the regulations have been made to unlock investments in broadcasting, in such a way that greater speed is provided to the processes.
During his presentation, Deputy Minister Valdez highlighted his willingness to attend the decentralized hearings, since his interest is to approach broadcasters and citizens to maintain the policy of constant dialogue of the MTC, which seeks a rapprochement of the State with the population.
The hearing was attended by the Regional Governor of San Martín, Víctor Noriega and a total capacity, which allowed the specialists of the MTC to collect the comments, suggestions and the problems of the services, committing to evaluate the issues raised.
