Chile. CNN Chile, part of the Turner Group, is installing Pebble Beach Systems' Marina Xpress automation system to replace its previous Sundance system. Located in the new Machasa building in Santiago, this is Marina Xpress' first installation in Chile.
A key requirement for the installation was integration with CNN Chile's iNews (NRCS) system. Equally important were CNN's ease of use and staff training, system flexibility, pricing, and 24 hours of support both locally and from the factory. The NRCS will be integrated into Marina Xpress through the popular MOS (Media Object Server) protocol.
Many older automation systems have already reached the end of their useful life, and are either no longer compatible, or are compatible but with unacceptable considerations for the mission-critical services they provide. A seamless and seamless migration path for state-of-the-art automation systems can be complicated for both operational and executive staff. Pebble Beach Systems' primary goal is to eliminate all risks from that migration path.
"For any organization, migrating to a completely new system involves considerable risk," explains Paulo Andrés Martínez-Cleves, Vice President of Sales for Latin America at Pebble Beach Systems. "At Pebble, our engineers are industry experts. We ensure that the years of data accumulated in the database of an old automation system are seamlessly transferred to the Marina database, so that organizations can continue to work immediately."
The distributor VGL, based in Santiago, will install and maintain the Marina Xpress automation system. The fact that VGL is also an Avid distributor reinforced CNN's confidence in this distributor to carry out the integration and offer the necessary support.
