Brazil. Between August 30 and September 1, a new version of Expo SET is held in Sao Paulo, the most important event for the broadcast and new media industry in Brazil.
In addition to the exhibition of the latest technology, two events stand out in this version. The first is a panel on the challenges of VOD and OTT, which starts from the premise that the future of television seems to point to success when the commitment of the public is taken into account in its programming. For that, the most modern technologies and means are being used, but the challenge remains.
"The aim of this session is to discuss how programming will be able to continue to attract the public, explain its relationships with technologies and new media," explained panel moderator and Director of Virtual Properties, Adilson Pontes Malta.
They will even be discussed about how automation, special effects, OTTs and TV Anyware can collaborate so that TV maintains its leadership in communication and the importance of commitment to new technologies and content to attract viewers. The panel will be held on August 31 at 11:30.
80 years since the first radio
80 years ago, Brazil met what would be the first radio station with reach in practically the entire national territory. Baptized as "Radio Nacional de Rio de Janeiro", where it had its headquarters network signed, the station became a milestone in the history of Brazilian radio not only for the creation of the genres radio-journalism, radio-novel, auditorium programs and sports coverage.
"But because it was a complete station that would influence the television itself in terms of the programming mesh structure, the program models, the commercial strategy and the network policy," said André Barbosa Filho, consultant and president of LeBar Comunicación Digital.
At the end of 80 years, the National Radio of Rio de Janeiro receives from the SET all the tributes through a commemorative table, composed of the most distinguished specialists in the field. André Barbosa Filho will be the moderator of this panel. The main lecture will be by the technology commentator at Editora Globo, Ethevaldo Siqueira, who will talk about how radio evolved and its relationship with new technologies and people's habits.
