Latin America. Netflix and 20th Century Fox Television Distribution announced their first global licensing deal. Netflix will be the exclusive streaming home of Fox's acclaimed franchise, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. The first season of the franchise will be available globally on Netflix, with the exception of Canada, in 2017, and the other seasons will be available after broadcast respectively.
The first season, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, was nominated for 22 Emmy® Awards and ended its 10-episode installment as the most-watched new series on cable of 2016.
The first season of this anthology series revolves around the trial of O.J. Simpson and explores the maneuvers and deals made behind the scenes on both sides of the court, revealing how a combination of overconfidence on the part of the accuser, cunning on the part of the defense and the history of the Los Angeles Police Department with the African-American community of the city, he gave the court what it needed: a reasonable doubt. The second season of American Crime Story focused on Hurricane Katrina will premiere on FX next year.
