Argentina. A new meeting was held in order to socialize what will be the new communications law in Argentina. On this occasion, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Argentine Chamber of Small Internet Providers (CAPPI), the Argentine Society of Authors and Composers of Music (SADAIC), and the Argentine Chamber of Independent Television Producers (CAPIT) participated.
The meeting was headed by the coordinator of the Drafting Commission of the new Communications Law, Silvana Giudici; and had the participation of the constitutionalist and expert in the right to communication on the Internet, Andrés Gil Domínguez; the vice president of ARSAT, Henoch Aguiar; the Secretary of ICT's, Héctor Huici; and the secretary of the aforementioned commission, Gastón Fernández Fellini.
From the entities invited to the meeting, were present, on behalf of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), María José Ravalli, responsible for the Communication area; by the Argentine Chamber of Small Internet Providers (CAPPI), its president Marcelo De Ambrosio; the general director of the Argentine Society of Authors and Composers of Music (SADAIC), Carlos Guillermo Ocampo; and the representative of the Argentine Chamber of Independent Television Producers (CAPIT), Alejandro Borenzstein.
Each of these organizations gave their point of view on the needs that exist in each of the sectors they represent, and contributed their experience and their ideas to be incorporated into the text of the draft law.
At the end of the meeting, the also director of the National Communications Agency (Enacom), Silvana Giudici, reported that "the next participatory activity that the Drafting Commission will develop would be carried out, during the month of July, at the National University of Cuyo, to generate a new academic debate that enriches the drafting of the law and takes into account all voices."
