Latin America. In 2015 the company 16x9, which distributes equipment for film and television production, decided to enter the Latin market. A year later it has achieved good results and that is why it wants to continue gaining ground in 2016.
Christian Calderón, sales director of the company located in Valencia, California, told TvyVideo+Radio that to expand in the Latin American market they had to increase the staff. Initially they had one person from Mexico and now and now there are several people who from California will serve the south of the continent.
"I'm personally going to tour the region to better understand the market and know how to attack it. I will be visiting Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay during the second semester. We are convinced that they are countries that have a lot of potential for the film and television market, they are growth markets," said Christian Calderón.
During NAB, 16x9 debuted four products, among which are a mount that allows you to install a camera in one car and record another car in motion. Another standout product is Movecam's automatic wireless spotlight. "These products allowed us to have very good traffic at the stand of the fair, because we offer novelties to customers, complementing our existing portfolio," concluded the sales director of 16x9.
