Spanish producers are looking for a market in Colombia

Colombia. Last December, a group of Spanish producers and distributors  visited Colombia on an audiovisual mission, supported by the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Bogotá, ICEX Spain Export and Investment and the Cluster of Creative and Content Industries of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, in order to initiate or strengthen relations with the local industry.

One of the companies participating in the mission was MG Producciones, a production company with 15 years of experience and based in Spain, which has several products for the Latin market. Miguel Casaubon, director of the company, told TVyVideo+Radio about his experience in the week-long visit to Colombian channels and production companies.

"MG Producciones is a company that works since 2000 in music production, we always produce Latin music for Latin America, Europe and the world, without losing the Latin essence, that made us have hits like "Papi Chulo" by Lorna. In 2005 we started the journey in radio production, having our own Super Q FM frequency in the Community of Madrid. In 2014 an Audiovisual department was opened within the company, in this case producing from Europe for Latin America, and our first audiovisual project called Latinos por el mundo emerged," he said.

Latinos por el mundo is one of the last programs that MG Producciones has finished, a season of 12 chapters that tell stories of Latinos in Egypt, Shanghai, South Africa, Morocco, Thailand, Lisbon, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Hawaii, in others, in which cultures are mixed and each character tells what he does, what he does and accompanies him for a few hours in his day to day.

On his time in Colombia, he said that it was the first time in the country and "it was an unforgettable experience, we were left with the kindness and sympathy of everyone, a beautiful country with great business opportunities. We have seen first-hand that in Colombia there is a very good audiovisual quality and it becomes a country with many expectations for the future for our company".

The interest is focused on another of his projects, similar to Latinos around the world but with footballers. They are looking to co-produce the program that would have as protagonists footballers and football coaches, who are often not talked about but are great professionals who are distributed in the world. The program will be called "Futboleros viajeros".
