Colombia. On November 5 and 6, Colombia will host the 6th Latam-EU Symposium on Telecommunications and Audiovisual Media Regulation, an event in which the best regulatory practices in these areas will be analyzed. This time, the Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) will be the host regulator.
The symposium, organized by Cullen International and with the support of the CRC, will have as its central theme "Regulation for innovation and investment".
For a day and a half, participants will discuss regulatory issues in telecommunications and audiovisual media such as the growing role of new actors and business models that challenge traditional regulatory approaches; the future of media regulation; new trends in spectrum management; policies and regulatory responses in the net neutrality debate, among others.
This symposium is the space where high-level representatives of regulatory authorities, ministries, industry and associations from Latin America and Europe meet, to exchange experiences and explore synergies and best practices in regulatory issues of current interest. The symposium is held in a different country each year, usually presented by the local regulatory authority.
The sixth Latam-EU Symposium on telecommunications and audiovisual media regulation will be held in the New Granada A Room of the Hotel Las Américas, Cartagena de Indias on the fifth of November, from 2:00 p.m. and November 6, 2015, all day.
