The Federal Institute of Telecommunications, IFT, determined that at 00:00 hours (local time) on October 29, 2015, analog transmissions of broadcast television stations in the cities of Torreón, Coah. must cease definitively; Gómez Palacio, Dgo.; San Luis Rio Colorado, Son.; and Cuernavaca, Mor.
The termination of analog transmissions includes the stations XELN-TV, XHGDP-TV, XHOAH-TV, XHO-TV, XHTOB-TV and XHGZP-TV in Torreón, Coah.; XHGPD-TV in Gómez Palacio, in the state of Dgo; XHLRT-TV of San Luis Río Colorado, Son., and XHCIP-TV, XHCUM-TV, XHCUR-TV, XHCUV-TV, and the complementary equipment in the city of Cuernavaca of the XEX-TV and XHTM-TV television stations.
In the case of the four complementary low-power equipment of the station with XELN-TV call sign; located in the towns of Mapimí, Peñón Blanco, Rodeo and Velardeña in Durango, the Plenary resolved that they will be able to continue making analog transmissions.
In accordance with article 15 of the DTT Policy, the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), permittee of the channels XHGDP-TV, XHCIP-TV, and the concessionaires Radiotelevisora de México Norte. S.A. de C.V.,

For its part, the Institute will continue to carry out the generic national campaign on DTT and will carry out a campaign to disseminate locally, the cessation of analogue transmissions in which the date and time of the end of the same is specified.
The determination of the early cessation of transmission of the above signals was determined since the Ministry of Communications and Transport informed the Institute that a level of penetration of digital receivers of at least 90% of low-income households defined by the Ministry of Social Development (SEDESOL) for the aforementioned signals was reached.
The Institute also carried out inspection visits to these stations, confirming that digital broadcast television broadcasts are currently being carried out under the authorized parameters.
The transition to DTT generates free benefits to the audience, among which stand out a greater offer of channels (some in HD) and a better quality of audio and image among others.
It is important to specify that in case of not having any of the following options, open television audiences will not be able to receive television signals (the analog blackout does not include pay-TV users).
