Argentina. The board of directors of the Federal Authority for Audiovisual Communication Services approved the launch of a new line of the Competitive Development Fund for Audiovisual Media, Fomeca, for a total of $9 million, aimed at financing the constitution or strengthening of Networks of Community Broadcasters and /or Producers and indigenous peoples throughout the country.
The call for Fomeca Line 10 will be open from September 7 and will finance projects of up to $1,600,000 for national networks of more than 20 broadcasters and / or producers of the community sector and indigenous peoples. Regional networks, which will receive funding of up to $600,000, and local networks for a maximum amount of $320,000 may also apply. The call will remain open until September 28, 2015.
With the opening of this line, there are already 14 Fomeca competitions opened in 2015, which will allocate more than $129 million this year for the social and community sector of communication.
