Central America. At the end of July, the Central American and Caribbean Co-Production Network workshop was held in Nicaragua, which was attended by representatives of the channels of the region and progress was made in the definition of a work methodology among the televisions that are members of the initiative to carry out a series of programs made and produced in co-production.
In addition, the general lines for the elaboration of a manual of style and begin to work on the first pilot programs were defined, as well as to consolidate the Central America in Network initiative.
The broadcasts of these programs produced by the public service televisions of Central America and the Caribbean will begin in February 2016 and will have a monthly periodicity. In the month of October there will be a Script Workshop in which the scripts of the first programs will be worked on and finalized.
A team of screenwriters will participate in this workshop, made up of representatives of the institutions that make up this initiative, with the aim of promoting the Central American and Caribbean character of these programs in co-production.
Nicaragua's Channel 6, SERTV (Panama), SINART (Costa Rica), Televisión Cubana (TVC) – Instituto Cubano de Radio y Televisión (ICRT), Televisión Nacional de El Salvador – Canal 10 and Televisión Nacional de Honduras will include this series of co-productions in their programming grids.
