International. The Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, also known as the Mafia Museum, uses several Blackmagic Studio Camera (HD) models, an ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K mixer and various HyperDeck Studio Pro models to record and broadcast all its productions live, in addition to audiovisual archival material.
The museum located in the iconic Federal Court of Justice in Las Vegas exposes the two perspectives of the protracted conflict between organized crime and law enforcement authorities globally. In addition, it features more than 800 historical artifacts and interactive exhibits, including interviews and images of some of the most representative characters in Mafia history.
The Museum not only features exhibits, but also hosts courtroom talks that include interesting and eye-opening discussions around topics related to organized crime, law enforcement, and other issues of public interest. There are also conferences with authors, thematic events and many more activities throughout the year. All programs take place in the Museum's historic courthouse, which features state-of-the-art presentation technology, and are broadcast on its website to all audiences interested in the history of the mafia worldwide.
In order to record and carry out the production of these videos, the Museum uses several Blackmagic Studio Camera HD models that connect to an ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K mixer to be able to alternate sources and include graphics. Finally, the final images are recorded on SSD cards using a professional HyperDeck Studio Pro recorder.
"The museum has always sought to provide an interactive and fun experience. By offering live events and interviews with important figures from both sides in mafia history, we encourage our visitors to come back and follow us from their homes," said Ryan Markus, the museum's director of information technology.
