Señal Colombia opens calls for new productions

Colombia. Two invitations remain in force for interested parties to submit proposals for television content in documentary format for Señal Colombia Sistema de Medios Públicos. These are the thematic miniseries "Media, conflict and peace" and two projects of the regional miniseries "Colombia from within".

Colombia from within

Through the miniseries, Señal Colombia seeks documentary projects that tell stories from all over the country, which complement the great regional series "Colombia from within", which has been carried out since 2009. The channel currently has 120 episodes, produced in Magdalena, Atlántico, Santander, Tolima, Huila, Eje Cafetero, Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Nariño.

This is the seventh version of the open invitation of regional miniseries that will have ten new chapters, which will account for the panorama of some regions of the country from the perspective and narratives of each place.

- Publicidad -

For this opportunity, the call consists of two projects for television, each made up of five chapters of 25 minutes, which can be seen independently, but at the same time are articulated with the series, thanks to the fact that they must revolve around the following themes: Sports, Cultural and artistic production, Ecology and environment, Identity and territory and Contemporary problems.

The two projects to be awarded are aimed at production houses domiciled in departments where no regional miniseries have been made. With this, the channel fulfills the objective of promoting the development and production of content for television throughout the country. In that sense, neither can producer houses of the Capital District participate.

Media, conflict and peace

The second call seeks to make known, in an entertaining, analytical and innovative way, the role that the media have played in the coverage of the armed conflict and the different negotiations and peace processes that Colombia has had in its history. It seeks to offer the viewer analytical tools to understand the complexity of our reality and the importance that the media have in the perception of citizens and in the construction of peace scenarios.

This documentary project is composed of a miniseries of three chapters of 25 minutes, and a unit of 72 minutes, which brings together the contents of the chapters.
