The Observer Media Intelligence platform, equipped with a Volicon capture application, provides an easy-to-use and cost-effective live or linear acquisition solution that works across the diversity of sources: baseband, MPEG-TS, or post-STB. For all-day recording, the platform can encode live, network contribution and cable/satellite/IPTV feeds and makes them available to users in a matter of seconds – without the costs and limitations of user-based licensing – through an intuitive browser-based interface.
When working with the Observer interface, various editors can review the content as it is captured, immediately crops high-value images, and pushes long multimedia clips encoded in H.264 GOP directly to Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Supporting a range of incoming containers and codecs, Adobe Premiere Pro CC accepts this content from the Observer platform without the need for transcoding.
