Chile. The National Television Council of Chile, CNTV, initiated the Public Contest for the allocation of the Promotion Fund to quality for 2015 and that will grant resources exceeding 3,950 million Chilean pesos, a little more than six million dollars.
The postulated works will be evaluated taking into account:
- Proposals for high-level cultural programmes, which increase the level of information, education and training of the public.
- Quality programs that properly use both the television language in their images and the verbal language used in the context of the story.
- Projects that tell the story of Chile and its peoples or Latin America.
- Projects that take into account the massive vocation of free reception television, considering requirements of format, content and schedule.
- Projects that provide knowledge and/or problems of a national or regional nature.
- Projects that promote gender equity, equal treatment between the sexes, tolerance, diversity and respect.
- Projects that stand out for the technical and financial coherence between their narrative/audiovisual proposal and the production resources and budgeted costs.
The call is open until April 10. Those interested in applying must do through the website fomento.cntv.cl taking into account the different phases.
