Argentina. This Wednesday, October 29 at 8:30 p.m., the 22nd edition of the most federal awards ceremony in Argentina, the Cable Television Awards organized by ATVC, will be held.
The gala night for almost 500 guests takes place in "Tango Porteño", located meters from the obelisk and steps from the Teatro Colón, a traditional meeting point to enjoy one of the best shows of international level, which magically recreates the most important era in the history of tango.
These awards, which were born with the aim of pluralizing culture, communication and regional integration, became the most federal in Argentine television. A sample of pluralism, commitment, citizen participation, national production, history, present and future.
In addition, this year Cable TV celebrates 50 years and will be reflected in this recognition; Walter Burzaco, President of the ATVC, referred and pointed out: "Fifty years ago this reality began in scattered localities of our country, which today employs more than 20,000 families directly and a similar amount indirectly. The decision to give communication to localities where the State did not reach, forged in five decades more than 600 local signals, space for more than 1,000 independent producers, and school for communicators, drivers, producers and journalists. "
ATVC Awards, aims, year after year, to consolidate and promote productions from the interior of the country, becoming a reflection of the interest of the communities to show their products, which strengthen the bond of cable television with their places of origin. "This year we have exceeded 500 registered, marking a new record of participation that represents a greater number of localities and provinces represented," said Burzaco.
The selection of the winners by the jury is made by categories that are classified on the basis of the number of inhabitants of the localities of the respective cable channels, which in turn are divided into twelve genres: Agricultural Affairs, Documentary, Informative Journalism (News), Opinion Journalism, Educational, Sports, General Interest, Musical, Children, Cultural, Fiction and Promotional. In addition, awards will be given regarding the trajectory or current affairs of the industry, without neglecting the Grand Jury Prize, which is one of the most anticipated awards of this gala.
Eliseo Álvarez is the president of the jury, in this 22nd edition, and is accompanied by Hugo E. Grimaldi, Alejandro Fabbri, Antonio Tarragó Ros, Alfredo Leuco, Federico Guerra, Silvia Hopenhayn, Luis Cuelle, Aldana Duhalde, Roberto Vacca and Carlos Acosta.
