Latin America. The Canadian company Shape, has been dedicated for the last five years to manufacture supports for video cameras with a good acceptance of the market, thanks to the fact that its products are based on design, aesthetics and quality.
The company has gained ground in markets such as Canada, the United States, Finland, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, England, France, Italy, Spain, Dubai, India, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, China and New Zealand. And now their next target is Latin America.
To this end, chilean Juan José Cea, a Chilean based in Montreal 10 years ago, was appointed as the new Sales and Media Representative for Hispano-America. In addition, it is looking for distributors that will allow them to expand their brand in the region.
Juan José Cea commented that "The secret of the success of a company in the audiovisual market is not to be unique, but to be compatible, adaptable to everything, because our non-static market, constantly changes, and it is not like a river that follows a single direction, if not rather like a tornado, unpredictable... and that's where Shape makes the difference."
He added that the first models, pieces of metal molded and glued with pieces from here and there, were sold among friends of the audiovisual medium of the president of Shape, Mylène Girard, who before creating the company worked as a camerawoman. Then the sales went up to ebay. Now they come from a full piece of metal. It also changes the gear grip with a safety button to Rosset, which prevents the camera from rolling despite the time the stand is used.
