Chile. Expanding its coverage efficiently, offering complementary services to those of traditional cable and the digitization of the headers, are part of the challenges faced by satellite television operators in Latin American countries such as Colombia.
Therefore, 2013 is the year that the Chilean company Tuves HD has been drawn up to strengthen its business plans in the five countries of the region where it has a presence, with emphasis on Colombia, with the search for commercial partners.
Konrad Burchardt (photo), General Manager and CEO of TuVes HD, commented that "cable operators are threatened today by large companies that currently deliver satellite television service, for which we can provide tools that allow them to update and excel in the competitive pay TV market."
For her part, Erika Tapia Castillo, Sales and New Business Manager of the company, explained that they are in a new stage oriented in the search for commercial partners -telecommunications companies, cable operators or economic groups- that want to enter the satellite television market, diversify their category or complete their commercial strategy by adding the option of television service.
To achieve this, the company has a satellite operations center classified as the most modern and highest technology in Latin America, which operates in five countries. Its latest agreement allowed Venezuela's Intercable company to offer availability of television service throughout the country.
