For this second part, which includes the generation of more and better content, the company allocated US$200 million, which will seek to partially or totally finance the production of the contents, which will be focused on different audience niches and, even, the producers will be able to receive profits if there is commercialization in the program.
The results of the first year on the air of the own channels, indicate that half, that is, 25 channels, have been very well received and have one million people with a weekly audience.
And it is that the bet of Google, owner of Youtube, is to take viewers away from traditional television and win more viewers of its content every day, taking advantage of the fact that the video portal has an audience of 800 million people who enter the portal every month.
Another factor that they seek to take advantage of is the easy access that the portal has from mobile devices, since half of its audience, about 400 million, consults from these teams.
But although on Youtube four billion videos are watched daily and 72 hours of video are uploaded per minute, the main challenge of the new own channels is to generate recall in the public so that they become periodic consultation and with an established audience.
