Mexico. To strengthen the audio quality of its broadcasts, TDN, the sports channel of the Televisa group, installed an Artemis audio console from the English company Calrec in its production center in Mexico City.
The installed equipment has 23 optimal faders to provide a wide range of audio services for the production of sports shows and various events.
Fernando Howard Neale, Deputy General Manager of TDN, said that "the technology incorporated in the Artemis gives us a much wider range of operational possibilities and that is exactly what we need, both to streamline our workflow and to serve the widest variety of audio services that our production teams require."
Artemis offers enormous routing and processing capability, which contrasts with its modest presence. It uses a combination of Oled touch screens and light-emitting buttons, which provide instant visual information and flexibility that allows the user to configure in the moment.
In addition, these devices are equipped with a fully integrated system with an 8192² crosspoint router. With the Hydra2 networking system, they provide a seamless mixing console audio network, scalable with routers and I/O interfaces, allowing for a wide variety of resources that can be easily added and shared.
Moreover, there is the potential for unlimited future expansion through the addition of additional resourced I/O, consoles and standalone routers to the network.
