Colombia. The HD mobile units designed, manufactured and integrated by Seel are now located in Panama and Honduras.
At the beginning of July 2012, the engineering company specialized in projects for broadcast, audiovisual, theaters, lighting and mobile units, Seel, sent the van designed and manufactured in Bogotá to Honduras in order to assemble in the Central American country the mobile unit on the truck already acquired by TELEVICENTRO.
The full HD mobile unit ( pictured) is designed to have six (6) cameras, with the possibility to expand it to 10, according to the needs of the channel.
This project was carried out in conjunction with SONY PSLA, who were in charge of supplying the equipment.
This is the first time that Seel sends the unit separately from the vehicle that will carry it, which has opened the way for more integrations of this type and for the expansion of the company in Central and South America, as Carlos Iván Fernández, manager of Seel S.A. says.
Also, about a month and a half ago, the Colombian company delivered to Sertv, a channel of the Panamanian state, a modern mobile unit with HD technology for 10 cameras, which has a mast for microwave antenna.
With this mobile unit, Sertv (State Radio and Television System) began broadcasting cultural, sports, educational and news events from the different Panamanian regions.
Through a public tender and in consortium with Dataserve, a Panamanian company with a track record in supplying equipment for Broadcast, Seel was chosen to carry out the process in Panama.
"Central America is a very important market for us, Seel is expanding and we are creating new fields of action. The fact of having sent the van to be assembled on the chassis of the vehicle in Honduras opens a favorable panorama for us and our customers, you no longer have to bring the truck to Colombia, this reduces costs and facilitates the process, "says Fernández.
Seel is currently developing a special mobile unit for football broadcasting in Colombia, which will have 14 cameras.
