United States. The cable television company, DISH Network, began offering movies in 3D format to its customers, through the Dish Cinema On Demand service in resolutions of up to 1080p. In January, DISH introduced "My Favorite Villain," "Shrek 4: Happily Ever After," and "Saw: Final Chapter."
"DISH Net offers its customers the ability to enjoy the power of 3D from their homes with a variety of movies available on DISH Cinema, as they expect engaging video experiences," said Dave Shull, DISH's vice president of programming, adding that the company will look to add more titles as its streaming platform expands.
To access Cinema On Demand programming, you need a 3D TV and a ViP 922 HD DVR with DISH Network service.
