Everest 3D, ready for NT platform

Everest is a versatile system that can be employed for a wide range of tasks ranging from the design and generation of simple characters in two dimensions to the complex development of a virtual scenario.

Little by little, new solutions for the design and development of graphics in 2 and 3 dimensions appear on the market. They are increasingly similar to each other for the functions and tools they offer but above all for the versatility in their application. They are systems that are able to generate a simple source in two dimensions or to process the complexity of a virtual set for live television broadcast applications. Their operating range is very wide and the results they offer can be used for any audiovisual support. The common denominator for these systems is that they offer an option for working on NT platforms.

The company Peak Broadcast Systems based in Norway, dedicated to the development of specialized applications for 2D and 3D graphic processing, the creation of virtual scenarios, and the manufacture of sophisticated control systems, is offering the new software for animations and graphics in real time Everest designed for operation on the NT platform of Silicon Graphics. Everest NT offers features identical to those available in this application for the Onyx and O2 platforms, also from Silicon Graphics.

Everest NT represents the new migration path for the work of the highest quality real-time graphics within the NT world. This new development brings the benefits of real-time to a wide range of broadcasters and other video professionals who are engaged in working in news, sports or the generation of graphics for live streaming events.

This application, in its version for NT, is one of the most suitable systems for use in graphic design stations, and for the authoring of graphics and virtual scenarios in two and three dimensions. Of course, it is a special tool for the creation and generation of real-time graphics for live television applications. The latest version of this program of Peak Broadcast Systems Everest 2.0, has among its features and tools, with three layers for live composition, support for the creation of fonts in three dimensions, submerged graphics and another series of particularities that are integrated in the form of a plug-in . An important fact is that all the graphics created with this application developed for the Windows NT platform can be displayed or modified in silicon Graphics Onyx 2 and O2 systems.

The Everest software was created to meet the demands that tools for the production of complex graphics and animation quickly exist today. It is a system that operates under a concept of true real time, in which no time is allocated in processing functions (rendering). During the animation tasks you can make a selection between the virtual cameras of the application. This function also occurs in real time.

In short, Everest is a versatile system that can be employed for a wide range of tasks ranging from the design and generation of simple characters in two dimensions to the complex development of a virtual scenario. It is an independent resolution system that is able to produce graphics for the television formats existing today in the market, HDTV, print, web and CD-ROM. You can combine still images with animation and video in a single system with the consequent reduction of the production and execution time of any project.
