NAB. During the last version of NAB Show, the Company Masstech took the opportunity to show its novelties in technology and present its new director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Frank Lima.
The new executive told TVyVideo+Radio that his main challenge will be to guide the company's expansion in its country of origin, Brazil, as well as to continue with the strong presence they have in the rest of the Latin American countries, with clients such as RCN and Caracol in Colombia; Ecuavisa in Ecuador; RPP and IRTP in Peru; Uruguay's Channel 7, to mention just a few examples.
"In Latin America we are doing very well, we have systems installed in many countries, but we lack Brazil. I know the Brazilian market well thanks to my experience with other companies and that is why I join Masstech. The moment in Brazil is not easy but we are sure that it will improve in the coming months that the political situation passes," he added.
On the technology launched at NAB, Frank Lima highlighted the update of his MAM system to version 8, which has as its main attraction that it is supported on an html5 interface. Another novelty is the structured metadata that allows you to create fields at the customer's need.
Jairo Mora, a support engineer who is based in Colombia, complements Masstech's team in the region.
