Latin America. Quantel/Snell announced that Hector Sanchez has joined the company as Regional Director for Latin America, assuming roles since the first of September. Sanchez joins the company after holding positions, most recently at Elemental Technologies for one year, and previously with Grass Valley for 20 years.
As the company continues to develop its activity in the region, Sanchez's background and industry experience with channel partners and end customers will help the unit achieve higher levels in business.
Sánchez is responsible for all business activities in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia and Venezuela, including direct engagement with customers, development of new markets and channel management, partner network and system integrators.
"Hector brings a very strong technical background in working with various product lines throughout his career. This allows him to quickly learn About Quantel Snell's product portfolio and work with customers on the solutions that best meet their needs," said Rafael Castillo, the company's vice president of Latin America.
Latin America continues to offer important opportunities for the company, which intends to expand its presence with its range of products and solutions to regional customers. Along with opportunities, competition is strong; however, the company is confident in its ability to succeed through the region-mounted sales team and its commitment to achieving the target business.
