Brazil. Volicon appointed José Eduardo Fávaro to serve as the company's director of sales and customer service in Brazil. In this role, which he recently assumed, Fávaro is responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding sales to broadcasters, cable operators and government agencies.
"Jose brings to Volicon a valuable combination of strong technical knowledge and customer service experience. He will play an important role in Volicon's global sales strategy as we continue to expand our presence and implement augmentation solutions throughout Brazil," said Russell Wise, vice president of global sales at Volicon.
Fávaro is an electronic engineer with professional experience working in the sale of test systems for broadcasting companies, as well as cable and telecommunications networks.
Prior to joining Volicon, he served as manager of professional services and training at Arcitech of Brazil. He was previously an account manager at JDSU Brazil. Fávaro obtained his MBA at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and is fluent in Portuguese, fluent in Spanish and Basic English and Italian.
Fávaro is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, and reports directly to Ken Rubin, Volicon sales director in the U.S. and Latin America, who continues to manage Volicon's sales operations in Brazil.
