International. To handle the overall corporate strategy, which includes mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances with other companies, Graham Sharp was appointed as the new senior vice president of Corporate Development at Grass Valley.
The new executive has more than 25 years of experience in executive management in the media industry. He most recently served as director of capital goods media and interim president and CEO of Xtranormal Inc., an online service where users can create animated movies by simply typing in the text and dragging the icons.
His time as executive vice president and general manager of Avid's video division is also reported. His career has taken a complete turn, as he began working in technology media with Tektronix/Grass Valley in the 1980s.
Alain Andreoli, President and CEO of Grass Valley, said: "Graham has a proven track record in corporate governance and creating shareholder value. In addition, it brings an extensive knowledge of international business and culture acquired through life and work in Asia, Europe, Canada and the United States."
Continuing to develop a strong growth strategy, including evaluating potential acquisition targets, is one of Graham Sharp's first roles, who commented "I am very pleased and honored to be invited to be part of driving this transformation with the Grass Valley team."
