SUPERCOMM 2003: The event examining the cable telecommunications industry

SUPERCOMM 2003, to be held June 1-5 in Atlanta, will provide participants with a detailed overview of all the technologies, trends and issues influencing the cable telecommunications industry.

This dedication Special cable will include a morning session, by two of top executives in the industry, refresher sessions industrial, communications forums sponsored by the International Consortium Engineering (IEC) and Exhibitions of different technologies.

Patrick Esser, Vice President of Cox Communications operations, and Richard Green, president and director Executive of CableLabs, will be in charge of the presentation that will be held on Wednesday, June 4 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. during SUPERCOMM, the exhibition and conference dedicated to the world market of connectivity.

The emphasis of this version of SUPERCOMM is a direct consequence of the growing interest of the industry in cable technology, what remains directly demonstrated by the interest of the public attending the event. Surveys conducted by SUPERCOMM show that 26.6% of participants supercomm 2002 are related to the supplier industry of services and 14% represent the cable television sector.

The cable industry continues to explore how to make your networks more efficient and interactive and at the same time, take the necessary steps to implement services more advanced high-speed audio, image and data transmission. Also, cable companies are increasingly learning about video by demand and adapt their networks to be able to transmit voice communications in packets, which will allow them to expand the offer of voice services.

Conferences, forums, speeches and refresher sessions

Conference: "Cable Modems: The High-Speed Answer". In this session P. G. Narayanan, Chief Executive Officer, Allot Americas, John Burke, Vice President and Motorola General Manager Paul Connolly, Vice President of Scientific-Atlanta, and James Lakin, President of Arris Broadband to explore opportunities for cable modems and their future in the competitive market of access, they will also address issues related to capabilities emerging voice, data and voice communications services.

SUPERCOMM 2003 emphasizes the importance of cable today and in the future and for this it offers educational forums, SUPERDemos of technologies, exhibitions, speeches and refresher sessions.

These sessions are part of of seven plenary panels and five inaugural speeches that make up only part of the extensive educational program offered this year by SUPERCOMM.

Participants will be able to listen to some of the industry's most successful strategists and appreciate first-hand the potential of the communication technology industry.

In addition to SUPERCOMM, those who will promote education will also be present at this event, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the American Telecommunications Association (USTA) and the Consortium International Engineering (IEC) with a series of executive workshops, free and paid seminars and presentations. Topics range from networks and services from broadband to mobile technology and Wi-Fi.
