Speakers of international stature in TecnoTelevisión

Speakers from Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Spain and the United States will be in charge of updating attendees to the academic program of TecnoTelevisión in the novelties and trends of the industry.

 

The four professionals from Latin America, three from North America and one from Europe will talk about the creation, distribution and delivery of digital content for multiple media, topics that today set the tone in the broadcasting industry.

Digital television continues to be an important issue in Latin America, so Eric Small, from Modulation Sciences, will talk about the new ways of thinking and acting that the change from analog to digital TV implies, as well as the tools that must be used in this new era.

Also Eladio Gutiérrez, from Telefónica, will talk about DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) focusing on the additional services of digital television and what is happening in Colombia.

The Cloud, that system that offers computing services on the Internet, is also immersed in the industry and changing paradigms, so John Footen, from Cognizant, will present a tutorial on Cloud technologies and will expand the concept a little more, going through its advantages and disadvantages for the sector.

Claude Turcotte of Maestro Vision will focus on effective workflows for industry operations, starting by explaining what workflows are and how they are handled.

To address the issues related to audio, Carlos Watanabe, from Dolby, will arrive from Brazil, who will talk about Audio 5.1 formats, workflows in this sector and what Loudness is.

The challenges of the television industry with the influence of the Internet, will be the subject of the presentation of Fernando Campos, the person in charge of this topic in Azteca. He will talk about how the Internet is the new way to consume content, among other aspects.

It also happens with transmedia content on TV, a topic that Yan Camilo Vergara, from Medellín Digital, will present and in which he will talk about audiovisual content on the Internet, integration with the production of multimedia content and the adaptation of formats and alternatives such as Skype, SocialTV, Netflix, GoogleTV, Youtube, PPV online.

Guillermo Mon Avalle, from Harris, will focus on the quality control of HD signals, which monitors to use in the different spaces, how quality should be measured and how it is evaluated.

A varied selection of topics of interest and current affairs for the industry, and a select and professional group of speakers, are the main components of the academic programming of TecnoTelevisión that seeks to provide attendees with the novelties of broadcasting.
