Sony's CineAlta 4K PMW-F55 camera has a modular design ideal for quickly switching between 4K shooting of movies or live recordings. It has 4k CMOS image sensor with Super 35mm, total resolution of 11.6 MP and effective 8.9 MP. Together with Frame Image Scan technology, it captures the best image with 4k technology.
It is small, lightweight and the optional stand allows the cameraman to record in hand or shoulder for several hours. With the PMW-F55, it is possible to simultaneously record in 2K/240fps and 4K/60fps RAW on internal high-speed SxS PRO+ memory cards and AXSMs, thanks to the optional AXS-R5 recorder.
Thanks to its CA-4000 adapter, it allows you to transmit live the recorded content in 4K and through the BPU -4000 unit, it processes digitally and in real time the recordings in 4K and simultaneously converts them into images for HD.
Among the multiple recording formats, it includes MPEG-2 HD422, MPEG4 SStP, XAVC 2K/HD, XAVC QFHD/4K and, thanks to AXS-R5, in 16-bit 2K/4K RAW.
