The VS-102-HDSDI is a high-definition video server that enables real-time transmission of a composite SD/HD-SDI, HDMI or NTSC/PAL video signal along with bidirectional AAC encoded high-definition stereo audio over standard IP networks and the Internet. The Marshall VS-102-HDSDI incorporates advanced H.264 and MJPEG compression technology, which provides optimal video streaming quality even on networks with limited bandwidth.
The VS-102-HDSDI can also be configured to function as a peer-to-peer talent monitoring system. For example, the unit can function as an encoder to compress and transmit A/V data over one LAN to another VS-102-HDSDI located in a green room or other location. The other unit can act as a decoder, which receives the compressed data over the LAN and restores the data to its original high-definition state.
In addition, other VS-102-HDSDI computers or set-top boxes connected to the same network can monitor both audio and video in several places in an enclosure, such as dressing rooms, the stage manager or the box office at the same time. If configured correctly, the VS-102-HDSDI can be monitored simultaneously over the Internet.
