The ELC-MVS01 software uses an ActiveX plug-in to integrate with those in existing newsrooms (NRCS), such as Avid iNews and AP ENPS. Producers can simply drag predefined automation signals to their NRCS ladder to build an ELC ladder. In the control room, the ELC ladder interface follows the vertical arrangement of a newsroom computer system and allows for condition monitoring to check for production interruptions.
As changes occur to the ladder, the ELC ladder is updated using NRCS real-time synchronization, so that newsreels can be modified on the fly and operational errors are reduced. This intuitive and efficient design allows producers to maintain their current NRCS workflow to build, modify, and float stories, while enhancing their control and creativity of their newscasts.
The flexibility of the ELC system design also provides full manual control of airborne operations. Users can leave the ELC ladder at any time for breaking news, and conduct their newscast through dedicated hardware control panels.
