The new standalone SpycerNode SC appliance targets uncompressed workflows and high-performance scalability applications. SpycerNode SC has a data rate of up to 22GB/s (single device) and built-in Ethernet technology up to 400Gb allowing SAN and NAS operation within a single system. Ease of configuration, ease of integration, and ease of maintenance were the key objectives of the design to reduce complexity or IT intervention.
Completely Ethernet-based, the device addresses the storage requirements of streaming and post-production workflows. This is designed to meet the requirements of modern post-production equipment. It can also accommodate up to 60 configurable units in sets of 30 rotating or flash. Fully equipped, the net capacity in a single drive is 800 TB rotating or 430 TB flash.
In conclusion, SpycerNode SC can function as a standalone or configurable unit within larger groups of a SpycerNode system. Using Rohde & Schwarz's metropolitan cluster technology, SpycerNodeSC can be used in environments with high redundancy requirements, such as broadcast production and playout workflows.
