A former HTC executive has warned his colleagues who are still on the staff of the Taiwanese to "simply leave" the team as soon as they have the opportunity, due to the problems that the manufacturer of 'smartphones' maintains with the sales of its HTC One model.
The HTC One was launched on the market last January being the great hope of the Taiwanese to win the top positions in the ranking of manufacturers of 'smartphone'. However, the sales levels achieved have not come to match the high expectations maintained by the company.
In addition, the low demand for the HTC First model, the first 'smartphone' with Facebook Home as standard, has not helped to raise the revenue figures of the brand that, at present, is fighting with LG and ZTE for the last positions of the ranking of manufacturers.
Therefore, the former director of product strategy at HTC, Eric Lin, has published on his Twitter profile a message addressed to all those former colleagues of his who still remain in the company urging them to "simply leave". The invitation has obtained all kinds of responses on the network provoking reactions both for and against what was said by the American manager.
Among these reactions is the response of the director of the mobile section of the TechnoBuffalo website, Todd Haselton, who asks Lin: "Who will continue to make the magnificent mobiles then?" In his response, Lin jokes that not all workers are friends with him: "There are still a lot of people at HTC who are not my friends. Maybe they can continue to make great mobiles."
With this invitation, Eric Lin highlights the drift to which the Taiwanese company points which has registered a decrease in its sales and that only has 5 percent of the market.
