The company announced the opening of its new service office located in Bogota, Colombia. To make this launch official, Comtelsat will hold a seminar on June 30 with different technology providers in its offices in the Colombian capital.
Engineers from the main Colombian television networks and cable operators are invited to this event. Technical presentations will be given by Evertz, Newtek, Panasonic, Vitec Group, Wegener, Harmonic and Verimatrix.
According to Manuel Arroyo, president and founder of Comtelsat, "the dynamism of the Colombian market in the areas of telecommunications and television justifies the launch of this new office that will also be responsible for developing business in other countries in the region."
Comtelsat's Office in Colombia will seek to do business in the telecommunications market, specifically for cable TV providers. On the other hand, Comtelsat foresees great opportunities in the education sector in which it has extensive knowledge and experience.
