Sennheiser, a German audio specialist, presented a new version of the SKM 5200-II handheld transmitter. This model offers an adjustable bandwidth of up to 184MHz, while retaining its transmission quality and ensuring greater flexibility in frequency selection, without suffering from interference.
Another improvement is the low intermodulation mode that expands the number of channels available within a certain frequency range. The transmitter can be operated in standard mode at 10mW – thus extending the operating time – or can transmit at 50mW to extend the range.
In terms of RF performance, the handheld transmitter is characterized by transmission reliability in conjunction with the new adjustable bandwidth, which extends from 35 MHz to above 180 MHz. It also has the Premium capsules from Sennheiser and Neumann, the sensitivity setting from -40dB to 0 dB and the adjustable low-frequency filter to ensure audio quality.
The SKM 5200-II handheld transmitter will be available from August, in black, nickel and steel blue, and will be compatible with the Sennheiser and Neumann capsules. The frequency ranges of the wireless microphone are 470 to 638 MHz (L band), 614 to 798 MHz (N band) and 776 to 886 MHz (P band). For the United States, a special frequency version (N-US) is offered that covers a range of 614 to 697.9 MHz.
