Blackmagic Design announced the release of UltraStudio Pro, the latest broadcast-quality SD/HD capture and playback solution for USB 3.0 computers. UltraStudio Pro combines the latest broadcast technology into an ultra-slim design that fits into modern post-production environments.
UltraStudio Pro works at 4.8 Gb/s, the speed of the USB 3.0 interface, which is ten times the speed of a regular USB. USB 3.0 has enough speed to support the highest quality of 10-bit uncompressed HD video, with the maximum possible real-time effects.
UltraStudio Pro's innovative design looks good on the desktop because the cables remain hidden behind the unit. The ultraStudio Pro's chassis is made of solid metal and stands on a compact silicone foot (strong enough to withstand harsh broadcast environments), which will not move when heavy cables are connected.
UltraStudio Pro has a large number of connections for video and audio, including 3 Gb/s SDI, HDMI, analog components, s-video, four channels for analog audio, two channels of AES/EBU audio, genlock/tri-sync and connections for RS422 control.
An independent SDI output allows simultaneous monitoring of HD and SD. A new built-in converter makes it easy to edit in one format and save it to any other hd or SD. This way all CPU time is spent on real-time effects. Selection is possible between panoramic, anamorphic 16:9 or vertical 4:3 video formats.
