Miranda will present at NAB 2010 a low-cost solution for master control management and branding of television channels. This is the Imagestore-Modular system, which incorporates live signal switching capabilities, playback of SD and HD material of 3Gbps and insertion of up to three layers of previously stored graphics.
Imagestore-Modular was designed as a set of cards compatible with densite series enclosures. This makes it possible to configure multi-channel master control systems in very small spaces. Each Imagestore "channel" with 5 independent keyers consists of two cards, which means that it is possible to generate a four-channel system in a 3RU Densite cabinet.
Imagestore-Modular systems can communicate with any automation solution that handles the Oxtel protocols that Miranda adopted several years ago, and among its branding functions include the possibility of generating tickers and other types of text automatically and also that of displaying clocks and temperature information.
They also support the mixing of "live" signals, the insertion of external signals with key channel and up to 16 channels of embedded audio with 8 channels dedicated to voice-overs, which represents the possibility of generating multiple feeds in different languages using the same platform.
Imagestore-Modular+ configurations can be optionally installed with additional software that allows you to use the Vertigo graphics development model that Miranda applies to its high-profile emission control systems.
By purchasing the "plus" version, users receive the necessary software to be able to configure ordinary PCs equipped with Adobe After Effects as workstations for graphics and animation development that are directly compatible with Imagestore, in addition to Vertigo Xplorer, a graphics playout automation and asset management tool.
In short, Miranda proposes that a multichannel master control can be managed with a few PCs and an Imagestore-Modular+ system, without additional investment.
