Avid announced the release of version 10.3 of Avid DS, a solution that combines advanced effects, compositing and graphics capabilities with new features designed to deliver real-time completion and speed up the rendering process of file-based formats.
Avid DS has also been optimized to manipulate the RED, 2K and ARRIRAW projects and offers support for the RED Rocket Accelerator card that decodes the . R3D relieving the CPU of this process.
New features include:
- Native conform from Avid Media Composer for . R3D and ARRIRAW: Allows customers to instantly recreate complete timeline information, including effects, titles, and color for real-time playback and faster rendering.
- AVX2 support: provides a simple path for full conformation of the visual effects that are generated at startup in the Media Composer and Avid Symphony editing systems. Customers can benefit from the toolkit with creative effects at any stage of the editorial process with a new AVX2 plug-in interface that allows you to use Boris FX and Sapphire effects in Avid DS from any offline project Avid.
