Clear-Com Communication, a brand of the Vitec group, sold a hybrid network (Hybrid Time-Division Multiplexing [TDM] Matrix/IP Server Network) to KPIX-TV/KBCW-TV, located in San Francisco, United States.
KPIX acquired this solution consisting of an Eclipse Omega Version 5.1 digital intercom system, a 32-channel IVC-32 high-density IP connection card, V-Series, Clear-Com Concert 2.0 user licenses, an E-Que card and a Cellcom integrated wireless system.
The hybrid network combines communications over IP with Eclipse TDM technology to create a single, seamless communications system that offers broadcasters unlimited communications options in the workflow, whether in the studio or in the field.
I.V.Core technology features communication over IP capabilities for new, traditional communication systems that allow users of V-Series IP-capable user control panels and Concert software to have the same access to the same network as their colleagues working with Eclipse.
