Autoscript, the Vitec group company specializing in teleprompters, will show a software application for i- platforms, as well as new hardware and software for its line of prompters.
Brian Larter, director of the firm, reports that Autoscript has been looking at how to use the iPhone, the iTouch and more recently the iPAd, in a prompting environment. Although there are very basic applications in this area, "we wanted to offer a system in the manner of Autoscript, properly researched, professional and integrated with the rest of our range".
This is how i-Plus was arrived, an application that will connect to WinPlus News or the Studio software and will allow you to download or transfer scripts or commands directly to the device. In essence, the WinPlus System connected to a news system could send a script to a reporter anywhere in the world.
Autoscript will also show at IBC the improvements it has introduced in its Led line of TFT units to mount on camera (in the photo), and the new features of the WinPlus software, including a real-time preview of the prompter on the screen of a PC or a laptop, this eliminates the need for an additional monitor.
