Sony announced the launch of a new series of encoders to convert analog signals to IP, for video surveillance applications, allowing the transition to be made without replacing the existing infrastructure.
The new network video encoders range from the basic single-channel model SNT-EX101 to the 12-blade, 48-channel rackmount model SNT-RS3U, which will join the existing line of IP Cameras, Analogs, hybrid recorders, Intelligent recording software, Display and Joysticks of the IPELA line.
The full range of encoders can dual-stream images from 30 frames per second to full D1 resolution in JPEG/H.264, JPEG/MPEG4 or MPEG4/H.264 settings. This makes integration much easier when migrating from the existing analog camera system to an IP-based system.
