Videssence brought to IBC 2009, in Amsterdam, the novel POWER CYC compact fluorescent lamp, 4 feet long, designed to provide concentrated but wide-covering lighting for studio cycloramas and filling applications.
It is a 220 watt unit equipped with four Biax 55 watt lamps, which use Videssence's patented adjustable beam technology. Each of these four lamps produces 71% more light than other similar products on the market, and can be individually adjusted within the reflector. With the simple swipe of a leveling button on the back of the equipment, each lamp is adjusted and secured in the desired position. The position of the adjustment system allows the operator to see the results of the lighting he is handling.
The reflector is made of high purity aluminum (99.9%) with a reflectance finish of 95%. The design allows light to be focused exactly where it is required, eliminating the need for accessories to capture and focus the intensity of the light beam. Additional controls and effects can be achieved with the gel frame and optional door holders.
