The international fair InfoComm 2009 was the stage chosen by Panasonic to announce the development of a new plasma model with 85-inch screen with Full HD High Definition quality, ideal for signage, promotion, scenography and image monitoring applications in security rooms and television studios, video and film.
The demand for thin screens for professional use has grown in different industries worldwide and it is now very common to find this equipment in airports, public buildings, film complexes, gyms, hotels, entertainment centers, television sets or shopping malls.
The equipment incorporates the new Neo PDP Eco technology, which according to the manufacturer reduces energy consumption and doubles the luminosity. The 85-inch screen replaces four 42-inch screens and can display the image the size of a real person if used upright. It weighs 103kg, is 40% lighter and 30mm thinner than the company's 103-inch plasma, and has the connections to receive standard signals and the option to add up to three additional boards to use other types of connections according to the needs of each application.
